Nigel, I found "The practical guide to bonsai styles of the world" from Charles Ceronio, a interesting book. And I ordered it.

Idk if it's just me but after the pruning the trunk looks very big! Also I think it's the tree where you notice the most how much brighter the branches get after pruning so much foliage away. And yet, after pruning it doesn't look that different. Just gets to show how well developed it already is!

Nigel, is the Serrisa smell pleasant or not? I couldn’t tell exactly by your reaction. The blossoms are sweet smelling right? Is the sap acrid and unpleasant? Your first cut was a good choice, in my humble opinion.

I noticed quite a few people showing their pots with the shorter side foreword or even diagonally. I'm not used to seeing that, but I like it!!!

I was hoping you would capture that white, vertical suiseki with all the holes. Kinda looked like coral.
